Sutton Fields retained their hold on the Munro Cup with a stunning 6-3 victory over AFC Hull, straight from the start AFC Hull attacked strongly but were really stung when in their first real attack after only 3 minutes play Matty Fyvie hit a stunning shot past Dean Adamson in the AFC Hull goal to give Sutton Fields the lead.
After this it was very good end to end football with both teams looking evenly matched then again Matty Fields struck following a good attack and Sutton Fields looked to be well on the way, however some 5 minutes from the interval AFC Hull struck twice in quick succession with goals from Dave Gowans to go into the interval all square at 2-2.
With the strong wind helping them in the second half Sutton Fields attacked strongly and following a free kick Carl Giblin restored Sutton Fields lead. Building on this Sutton Fields looked to be having slightly the better of the exchanges and winning another free kick out on the left which was pumped into the area and there was Gary Dickenson waiting to head the ball home 4-2.
AFC Hull tried hard to get back into the game with their never say die spirit and were rewarded when they won a corner from which Mark Friction headed home and they were right back into the game 4-3. However Sutton Fields came storming back with some very good football and Andy Crane scored to make it 5-3, they continued to attack strongly with A F C Hull only able to make some quick breaks, but the Sutton Fields defence refused to break and finally Gary Dickenson wrapped it all up when he scored from close range to make the final SCORE 6-3.
